Today marked the start (and end) of the 2008 Beyond Broadcast Conference.  The event took place at American University in Washington DC and was hosted by the School of Communication’s Center for Social Media.  This year’s theme was entitled “Remapping Public Media”, a discussion focused on “visualizing the evolution and impact of media for public knowledge and action.” While I wasn’t able to attend, I kept abreast of the conversation (as much as possible) by following a number of conference participants’ Twitter Updates.

To review the day’s agenda, visit the Beyond Broadcast blog here. Podcasts will be available for download tomorrow on the Center for Social Media site here.
