Are you interested in how copyright affects your professional life? Do you miss the fun and welcoming atmosphere of summer camp? Then register now for Copyright Camp! Presented by MPublishing, with support from the Open.Michigan Initiative, Copyright Camp will provide a forum to discuss copyright and how it affects you on a daily basis. Copyright Camp will be an unconference-style event with an introductory plenary by Jessica Litman, Michigan Law professor and author of Digital Copyright. MPublishing is the primary publishing division at the University of Michigan Library enabling scholarly communication through a variety of models.
What is an unconference?
Have you ever attended a conference and felt like the predetermined schedule of panels and workshops did not fully address the needs of the attendees? An unconference takes a different approach by having the attendees of the event set the schedule and the topics. After the opening plenary there will be a large board with open time slots for any attendee to add any topic they want to facilitate. Then other attendees can see those topics and chart their own path through the day’s sessions.
